Considering the rumours flooding the internet, the next flagship phone from Xiaomi will most possibly be the Mi 9. On Wednesday, Jun took to Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site to confirm that the Mi 9 will come with an improved fast charging compared to the Redmi Note 7.In the Weibo post, Jun first talked about the Redmi Note 7. He said that the new Note comes with QuickCharge 4 of up to 18W. This makes the Redmi Note 7 the most improved Note device as far as the fast charging technology is concerned. The previous generation Notes come with 10W charging support.In the same thread, a Weibo user asked Jun about the fast charging for Mi 9. A Weibo user enquired whether the Xiaomi Mi 9 will come with support for 24W charging to which Jun replied, “Xiaomi Mi 9 fast charger must be better”. Rumours and leaks earlier revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 could be backed by a 3,500 mAh battery with 32W fast charging. Beginning this month the full specs of the Mi 9 has been leaked and it reveals that the smartphone will be Xiaomi’s first with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Additionally, a leak also revealed the expected price and launch timeline of the Mi 9.advertisementThe leak reveals that Xiaomi could launch the Mi 9 by the end of February, most likely at Mobile World Congress 2019. However, as for the availability, the Mi 9 could be available for purchase sometime only around March.As far as the specs are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 9 could come with a waterdrop style notch which means the bezels will be slimmer compared to the Mi 8. The Xiaomi Mi 9 is said to sport a 6.4-inch 19:9 FHD+ AMOLED display. On the hardware front, Mi 9 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 6GB RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage.On the camera front, the Mi 9 is said to sport triple cameras on the rear while on the front there will be just one selfie shooter which will sit inside the teardrop notch. On the rear panel, the Mi 9 will include a primary camera of 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a secondary camera of 12MP, and the third camera will be a 3D TOF camera. On the front, the Mi 9 is expected to sport a 24MP camera for clicking selfies.As noted, the expected price of Mi 9 has also been revealed. According to leaks, the Mi 9 is expected to come in only one variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and this model is said to be priced around CNY 2,999 which is roughly translated to Rs 30,500. Sri Lanka condemns nuclear test by North Korea

Pyongyang said on Friday that it successfully carried out an explosion test of nuclear warhead that can be mounted on ballistic missiles. Several countries, including China had condemned the latest nuclear test by North Korea. South Korean President Park Geun-hye denounced North Korea’s nuclear ambitions, describing it as “reckless and fanatic” adherence.The South Korean leader said the DPRK’s fifth nuclear test was conducted during her series of trips to China, Russia and Laos where Park said she confirmed the international community’s unified determination not to accept the DPRK as a nuclear state. Sri Lanka today condemned the nuclear test carried out by North Korea on 9th September 2016. The Foreign Ministry said that Sri Lanka notes with concern that this is the second such test to be carried out by the North Korea this year.Sri Lanka called upon North Korea to abide by its international obligations and refrain from any action which would compromise peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula. Park cut short her visit to Laos following the DPRK’s fifth nuclear device test that happened just eight months after the fourth test in January.Park said South Korea is seeking to adopt stronger sanctions against the DPRK rapidly in cooperation with the international community.In March, the UN Security Council introduced tougher-than-ever sanctions on Pyongyang over its fourth nuclear detonation in January and the launch in February of a long-range rocket.
